Matthew B. Robinson received his PHD from the
Florida State University School of Criminology and Criminal Justice and is an assistant professor of criminal justice at
Appalachian State University.  Robinson regularly teaches courses in criminological theory, the drug war, capital punishment, criminal justice policy, and social justice.

Justice Blind?  was Dr. Robinson's first major effort to bring about positive systemic change to the nation's justice system through his research.  Currently, Robinson is trying to impact drug war and capital punishment policy through his work.

In 2007, Robinson addressed audiences in California, North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, New York, Rhode Island,  South Dakota, Washington, and Washington DC on the these topics.
